“The World’s Smallest Daily Newspaper” – aka The Tryon Daily Bulletin has the story on the housing development thats coming into my parents backyard. When I first heard about it, I sorta blew it off, thinking it would never happen. But oh well. I was “back home” over this past weekend and the grading work has already started. The most beautiful countryside in the world is becoming a housing development. The full story is here.

I just read that Frontpage will NOT be a part of Microsoft Office 2007. The Internet is becoming such a happy place. I’m just glad that Microsoft finally realized they can’t keep up with the evolving pace of the ‘net with Frontpage and threw in the towel on this one. I haven’t done any research (this was a tidbit picked up in an unrelated article) but my guess is that they’re tossing Frontpage out, and will probably be creating a new product, independant of Office 2007 to more directly compete with the likes of Dreamweaver. Me? No thanks. Vi works just fine.

One of the big headlines this morning comes from Moscow, Russia where the roof of an indoor market has collpased, killing dozens. I don’t want to make light of the situation, because my heart goes out to the Russian people, but when I went to Google News to try and find out more information about the market’s location, this was what I found.

Roof Collapse Numbers

This is the kinda thing computers will do for you. 🙂

DailyTech – Electronic Arts Slashes Prices By 20% On Upcoming Titles

It’s. About. Time.

Game prices have skyrocketed over the past year or two. Neither “Black” or “The Godfather” sound particularly interesting to me personally, but I hope this is a trend that EA continues and other producers pick up on.

We skipped right over this blog’s birthday on Sunday. It’s been three years now since I started the blog, using good ‘ol b2 way back then. The site has been through quite a few looks since then, and reading through some older entries makes me realize how much I’ve grown up in such a (relatively) short period of time. I’ve been contemplating importing my old LiveJournal account into here so that I can maintain all of my “online history” in one place, but some of that stuff is way-embarassing. Maybe it’s best I don’t pollute wantmoore.com with it. 🙂

A good friend of mine has a birthday today, and one of her gifts looked like this:
Black 60GB iPod

iPod Back

For a 60GB iPod – I’d almost say yes to the guy. Just kidding! Happy Birthday and Congratulations Mel!

I despise email forwards. Therefore I will not be emailing this one to any of you, but instead posting it here for your enjoyment.

The Pentagon announced today the formation of a new 500-man elite fighting unit called the United States Redneck Special Forces. These North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, West
Virginia, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas boys will be dropped off into Iraq and have been given only the following facts about terrorists:

  1. The season opened today.
  2. There is no limit.
  3. They taste just like chicken.
  4. They don’t like beer, pickups, country music or Jesus.
  5. They are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

We expect the problem in Iraq to be over by Friday.

Lucas: This Is Tyler Hansbrough
I promise I’m not in some sort of affiliate deal with Adam Lucas and TarheelBlue.com, but he has such a knack for writing about the ‘Heels that I feel compelled to post and link to just about everything that comes out of his computer in Chapel Hill. I’m embarassed to say that I didn’t watch the game last night, and after I read the quick game summary before crawling into bed, I was severely upset that I missed Tyler Hansbrough’s 40-point showing. That being said, I think I’m going to go ahead and put my prediction out there with Adam and say this: “Tyler Hansbrough: NCAA Freshman of the Year.”
