There’s new pics online – July and August. Yeah, I’m a little behind, but if you pay any attention at all to the contents of the photos, you’ll completely understand. In those two months, we went to three different weddings, a short vacation, visited family, did lots of stuff around the house, had a national holiday, and even got to be there for the birth of our new nephew. September hasn’t been any slower, but I promise to be faster with getting this month’s pictures online. Java went swimming for the first time this weekend and it was so much fun and I got some great snapshots.
Anyhow – you can see all the photos by clicking the link above for “Pics” or using these direct links:

I want to take the very last minute of this day to wish my wonderful wife a very happy one-year anniversary! I can’t wait for the rest of them. I love you!

I have absolutely no idea why I’m so excited, but I got the email just a few minutes ago that I’ve been waiting for – my WordPress.com invite! I’ve already written The Alpha Post, but now I need to come up with some real use for it. Any ideas? Shall I run two blogs – one personal, one geeky? You decide… Let me know…

Update: OH! And I have an invite code to give away as well. Someone make me an offer I can’t refuse. This is the IDEAL way to get a completely hassle-free WordPress blog at absolutely NO COST. Free blog hosting for life… Even Jim can’t beat that.

Slashdot is running this story about how Microshaft is planning to spend $100 MILLION (or for those of you who see numbers better – that’s $100,000,000) on marketing for Windows Vista. Now I don’t know how many copies of XP that they’ve sold and I don’t know how many copies of Vista they should expect to sell either, but seriously, don’t you think if they would sell MORE copies to those on the fence of upgrading if they saved their $100 million marketing budget and use those savings to lower the per copy cost of Vista?

If nothing else good came out of Hurricane Katrina, I’m happy to report that since it made landfall, I haven’t heard a single word from the media about that idiot of a mother Cindy Sheehan and Camp Casey. Thanks to Coulter for helping me to realize that.

Hot on the tail of my rant last week, I’ve found another case where someone needs to put their money where their mouth is. Rick Groen of the The Globe and Mail was recently interviewing Gwyneth Paltrow and she was pretty keyed up and wanted to talk about an article that was ran previously ran in The Globe and Mail about author Paul William Roberts. I didn’t sign up, so I don’t know what all the previous article had to say, but Gwyneth was interested and had this to say when Groen asked her how she felt about it:

“I totally agreed with it. I feel like we’re really in trouble. I just had a baby and thought, ‘I don’t want to live there.’ Bush’s anti-environment, pro-war policies are a dis …”

Well, Gywneth, back your bags and move on! And don’t bother coming back to L.A. to work either because this country which is “in trouble” could care less about you and your movies anymore. I’m really starting to think we need some sort of mechanism in place in our government to revoke citizenship for stupid stuff like this.

Does ANYONE have ANY idea how to unselect a specific item from the new Windows Update? I’m mainly talking about the Windows Genuine Advantage tool, and not because my copy is illegal, but because I just don’t want to participate.
